Application Review for Spring 2025 will begin October 1, 2024

You must apply for readmission if you previously were admitted to an undergraduate program of study at the University and there has been a gap in your enrollment of at least one regular semester (Spring or Fall).

Applications for readmission to programs on the traditional calendar must be submitted to the Degree Granting College no later than August 15 for the fall semester, May 10 for the summer semester and December 31 for the spring semester.

Readmission is not guaranteed, and students must meet all GPA, course and/or College requirements for the major to which they seek to readmit. The following withdrawal scenarios require Academic Dean approval to re-enroll at the University of Rhode Island:

You were academically dismissed.
You have been separated from URI for more than eight years.
You submitted an application after the posted deadline.
If you have graduated from URI and want to pursue a second undergraduate degree.

If there is any administrative withdrawal from the University on your record, it MUST be cleared by the appropriate department before your application can be processed. Administrative withdrawals are placed on a student’s record due to outstanding obligations, usually financial, from various administrative offices on campus.

The Readmission Team completes the review of applications in four to six weeks after submission. Applications will be processed in the order received.
