New Student Program's Rhody Day Trip

We know the importance of visiting campus with other enrolled students!

Join us for a Rhody Day Trip from 10 a.m.-3:00 p.m. to meet other Rhody Rams, learn about campus resources, enjoy lunch at one of our dining halls, go on a campus tour, and shop at our campus store for some URI swag.

Here are a few basics for our day together:

    • To participate in a Rhody Day Trip you must be pre-registered. Rhody Day Trips will be offered every weekday in the month of June.
    • Each admitted student is only permitted to bring two guests. If you arrive with more then two guests they will not be allowed to participate.
    • If you have any symptoms (Even if you know it isn't due to COVID-19) please reschedule your Rhody Day Trip registration.
    • If you are coming from a state with a higher than a 5% positivity rate all visitors need to present to us a PCR or Rapid negative test within 72 hours. An alternative to this is if a visitor has received their final shot more than 14 days ago but less than 90 days ago. You will need to show proof of the negative test or the vaccination upon arrival.  Another alternative is if you have had a positive result from greater than 10 days but less than 90 you can show a positive test.
    • Fully vaccinated community members and visitors will no longer be required to wear a face mask/covering while on the URI campuses except in certain circumstances such as visiting URI Health Services, using public transportation, when indicated by a facility/employment such as a research laboratory or duties that require it for safety, or at the request of faculty. For those individuals who are not considered fully vaccinated, you must continue to wear a face covering at all times both inside and outside while on any URI campus. Individuals are considered fully vaccinated 14 days after their last vaccination dose — either a second dose of a two-dose vaccine (Moderna and Pfizer); or 14 days after one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. See this document for more information. Continuing to wear a mask if fully vaccinated is a personal decision and anyone who feels more comfortable and wants to wear a face covering is welcome to do so.
    • Rhody Day Trips begin right at the scheduled time. We are unable to hold the program if you are late.

More information about safety policies and protocols will be sent in your confirmation email.
