Hi! My name is Addie Whalen!

    I am a recent graduate of the University of Rhode Island (December 2023) and I’m thrilled to be on the URI Admissions team! My time as a URI student was truly enriching, I participated in various activities like Women in Business, working at the Student Affairs office, and serving as Vice President of Recruitment for my sorority. I also made some of my closest friends during my college years. I remember feeling nervous about starting college, and I’m eager to share my experiences to help students navigate their transition from high school to this exciting new chapter.

    Favorite thing about URI: Our amazing community, from new friends to professors and staff!
    Advice for new students: Remember every new student is in the same boat - don't be afraid to reach out to new people and join new activities and clubs.
