Virtual Class: Introduction To Quality and Safety in Healthcare

    This is an undergraduate course available to students of all rankings (i.e., freshman-senior) with the focus on the introduction to safety and quality in health care.  This grand challenge course is designed for future healthcare professionals. It provides students an understanding of the fundamental concepts of safety and quality in health care, covering the introduction of medication safety, patient safety, and quality management programs as a multidisciplinary approach. This class will also identify and guide discussion on large scale ethical issues, including access to healthcare, balanced healthcare quality and efficiency, end-of-life care, and allocation of limited medications and donor organs.
