    URI Transfer Student Application Directions:

    Transfer applicants are students who have attended another regionally accredited college or university after graduating high school (even if they haven't earned any credits). 

    • Start a new application by using the link below.
    • Select the year and term that you intend to enroll.
    • Choose 'TR' which means that you are applying as a transfer student. 

    If you earned college credits while still enrolled in high school (advanced standing/dual enrollment) and have not yet attended college, you should  apply as a first-year student .

    URI PharmD Transfer Student Application Directions:

    If you are applying as a transfer student to our PharmD program, please do so through The Pharmacy College Application Service (PharmCAS). For more information about program requirements, we encourage you to visit the PharmCAS Directory page or reach out to Erica Estus, Clinical Professor and Director of Recruitment and Engagement, at (401) 874-7638 or rxadmission@uri.edu. 


    Readmission Directions:

    Readmission is for previously enrolled URI undergraduate, on-campus students with an inactive status who are interested in resuming their studies after an interruption in their studies for more than one semester.

    To be eligible for readmission, you must have: 

    • Been previously enrolled at URI and needed to discontinue your studies.
    • Failed to register for a semester and now wish to return.
    • Not met the academic requirements for enrollment but have since improved your academic standing.
    If you are considering the PharmD program, you must apply through the Pharmacy College Application Service (PharmCAS). 

    If you are considering URI Online, please reach out directly to the College to which you are seeking readmission. 


    When to Apply for Readmission
    Fall Semester: January 1 - August 15
    Spring Semester: May 1 - December 31
    Summer Semester: November 1 - May 1


    Please note: Readmission is not guaranteed. Each College has different expectations, deadlines, and requirements. The readmission decision rests with the College to which you are applying.
